Connect Beef is a membership-based program offering high-quality, locally raised beef at affordable prices. Members can purchase beef in quarters, halves, or wholes directly from us at cost, cutting out middlemen and passing the savings onto you.
How does the membership work?
Membership costs $300 annually. Once you become a member, you gain access to purchase beef directly from Connect Beef at cost.
What does “at cost” mean?
“At cost” means we pass the actual costs of raising, processing, and packaging the beef directly to you, without any additional markup.
Can I try the beef before purchasing?

The Process
What is the timeline from membership to receiving beef?
We have two finishing dates, choose at your convenience wether you want your beef delivered at the first of the year or June.
Why does it take so long?
Our program focuses on providing a connection to your food source. By raising your beef specifically for you, we ensure it’s high-quality, humanely treated, and locally sourced.
How is the beef raised?
At Connect Beef, we prioritize the well-being of our cattle and the stewardship of the Nebraska Sandhills we call home. Our sustainable practices enhance the land’s natural resources while providing attentive care to our cattle—a proud way of life rooted in the heritage of this ranching region.
How will I recieve my beef?
Once your beef is ready, you have two options for receiving it:
🚜 Pickup from the Ranch – You're welcome to visit our ranch in the Nebraska Sandhills and pick up your beef directly. This is a great opportunity to see where your food comes from and connect with the land that raised it.
🚚 Shipping Options – We offer delivery within Nebraska and surrounding states. Your beef will arrive frozen, vacuum-sealed, and ready for your freezer.
We’ll coordinate the details with you when your beef is ready to ensure a smooth and convenient experience!
What do I receive with a quarter, half, or whole beef?
When you purchase a quarter, half, or whole beef, you receive a custom-cut selection of high-quality, ranch-raised beef, vacuum-sealed and ready for your freezer. Here's a general breakdown of what you can expect:
🥩 Quarter Beef (~100-130 lbs of meat)
- A mix of steaks (ribeye, sirloin, T-bone, etc.)
- Roasts (chuck, rump, sirloin tip, etc.)
- Ground beef (perfect for burgers, tacos, and more)
- Short ribs, stew meat, and soup bones (optional)
🥩 Half Beef (~200-260 lbs of meat)
- More of each cut, with the option for custom processing
- Additional specialty cuts (brisket, flank, skirt steak, etc.)
- More ground beef for stocking up
🥩 Whole Beef (~400-520 lbs of meat)
- The ultimate freezer stock-up, with full customization on cuts
- Perfect for large families, bulk buyers, or splitting with friends
Each order is processed and packaged to your specifications, ensuring you get the cuts you love in portions that fit your lifestyle.
How much freezer space will I need?
To store your beef properly, you’ll need about 1 cubic foot of freezer space per 30–35 lbs of meat. Here’s a general guideline based on the size of your order:
📦 Quarter Beef – 4 to 5 cubic feet (fits in a standard freezer or small chest freezer)
📦 Half Beef – 8 to 10 cubic feet (a medium to large chest freezer)
📦 Whole Beef – 16 to 20 cubic feet (a large standalone freezer)
If you're unsure about space, a chest freezer is a great investment to keep your beef fresh and organized for months!
Membership and Costs
What’s included in the $300 membership fee?
The membership fee grants access to purchase beef at cost and supports the personalized process of raising, processing, and delivering the beef. Upon obtaining a membership, you become the proud owner of your own steer on feed, with a transparent and personalized experience alongside our ranch, ensuring you stay connected to every step of how your beef is raised.
Are there additional costs?
Yes, members pay for the beef at cost, which includes the expenses for raising, processing, and packaging. Transportation or delivery may also have a small fee depending on your location.
Is membership refundable?
Memberships are non-refundable, as they go toward the upfront costs of raising your beef.
